Coleman Milne, provide protection for major mechanical and electrical parts and labour and cover the following listed parts. Any parts not listed are NOT included.
Warranted parts… are listed under the following headings, any items not specifically described below are not warranted.
What is covered
This warranty covers all factory fitted mechanical and electrical parts (including labour to fit them), of the covered vehicle against mechanical breakdown or wear and tear (unless specifically excluded). Mechanical breakdown is the failure of a component, causing a sudden stoppage of its function. Wear and tear is the gradual deterioration caused by the effects of age and/or mileage. Includes consequential damage of covered parts, clutches, exhausts and batteries.
Air Conditioning/Climate Control
Compressor, condenser, radiator piping and all connections.
Oil Seals
Crankshaft front seal, camshaft oil seal, auxiliary shaft oil seal, gearbox rear seal, driveshaft[s] seals, differential pinion seal and any oil seal or gasket where removal of the engine, gearbox, or differential/drive unit is essential in order to effect repair.
In car entertainment
Factory fitted radio cassette player or CD player, or dealer fitted, where the fitment of that item was part of the standard specification of the vehicle at the time of first registration. Includes the command and telephone system and satellite navigation.
Catalytic Converters
Catalytic converters are covered for mechanical failures. This does not include the cleaning of fuel lines, filters, carburettors, pumps and the replacement of catalytic converters damaged from the use of contaminated or incorrect fuel or accidental damage.
Working materials
Oils, oil filter and anti-freeze are covered ONLY if it is essential to replace them because of the failure of a part, which is covered under this warranty.
Alarm Systems
Factory fitted alarms, or dealer fitted, where the fitment of that item was part of the standard specification of the vehicle at the time of first registration
Engine
All internal moving parts including cylinder heads and cylinder head gaskets.
Camshaft Timing Belts and Tensioners
Also includes damage to any other covered parts, providing the camshaft belt and tensioner have both been changed in line with the manufacturer service requirements.
Turbocharger and Wastegate
All internal component parts.
Gearbox and Transmission
All internal moving parts of: Manual Gearbox, Automatic Gearbox, Semi-Automatic Gearbox, Transfer Gearbox, (but excluding Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), Transfer Gearbox, Torque Converter, Overdrive
Clutch
Flywheel (excludes dual mass flywheels), pressure plate, centre plate, release bearing, master cylinder, slave cylinder.
Drive Train
Drive shafts, prop-shafts, centre bearings, constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings.
Front, Centre and Rear Differential
Crown wheel and pinion, and all other internal moving parts.
Suspension
Wheel bearings, cages, road springs, wishbones, track control arms and linkages, kingpins, ball and swivel joints.
Steering
Rack and pinion, steering box, power steering rack and pinion, power steering box, pressure pipes, idler box, hydraulic power steering pump, reservoir, track rod ends.
Braking System
Servo, master cylinder, wheel cylinder, callipers, vacuum pump, pressure restrictor valve, brake discs and drums.
ABS*
Pump and actuator/modulator.
Fuel System (petrol or diesel)
Lift pump, mechanical and electrical fuel pump injection pump, injectors, fuel gauge and fuel level sender unit, airflow meter, idle speed control valve, cold start valve and warm up regulator.
Cooling System
Radiator, heater matrix, water pump, viscous cooling fan coupling, thermostat and thermostat housing.
Electrical System
Starter motor, alternator, voltage regulator, ignition coils, ignition distributor and DIS, electronic ignition amplifier, indicator relay, front windscreen wiper motor and washer motor, electric window including switches, heater fan motor and horn.
ECU*
Engine management electronic control unit.
Casings
If any of the covered parts fail and cause damage to the casings, the casings will also be covered.
No Work to be carried out without prior authorisation.
What is NOT covered.
Bodywork, body seals (including boot, sunroof, roof, doors etc.) fixing and fastenings: nuts/bolts/brackets/studs/clips and springs (other than suspension springs), glass, interior/exterior trim, paint, lamp units and wheels.
Any failure attributable to the effects of overheating is not regarded as a mechanical failure under the terms of this warranty.
Normal service replacement items and other components subject to a routine maintenance or periodic repair or replacement that are excluded are as follows:
